Are Louis Vuitton Ranger Plat Wonderland boots worth it?
Louis Vuitton. When I think of luxury items I think about bags. They are, of all the accessories those that I hardly resist to making my heart beat out loud. Plus, I can justify buying them as investments (which I will probably never sell, but what does that matter now?). Recently, Metis Reverse has joined my collection, but I’ll tell you more about that in another post. Today, I want to share all about Louis Vuitton boots. Yes, you read that well. This time I surrendered to shoes.
Is it worth buying Louis Vuitton boots?
Honestly, and as I just wrote I am much more passionate about bags than shoes. I mean, I have those complicated feet that are not easy to fit in every shoe out there. Sometimes I risk and buy online but it’s never easy to find a good pair. However, I’ve been dating these Louis Vuitton boots for ages. They are beautiful, timeless and, more important, they are comfortable.
Before buying them I imagined how to pair them and truth is from dresses to jeans any outfit marries them. Not bad, right?
Having become the luxury brand that it is, nothing in Louis Vuitton is cheap. And as you can imagine the boots are no exception.
Being in canvas with monogram (introduced in the brand in 1896 and updated in 1959 by Georges Vuitton, son of Louis, the founder, to distinguish of the imitations), they are super resistant. I mean, when we are talking about boots, being resistant is quite essential. At least for me.
In fact, as many of you guys probably know, Louis Vuitton was born in 1854 as a travel luggage brand. And, Louis became famous precisely for creating the canvas (a kind of waxed canvas) and replacing the leather used in the suitcases of the time, for it. In addition to having no odor, the material is tough and waterproof. That is, perfect for suitcases and, of course, for boots.
Consequently, and having become the luxury brand that it is, nothing in Louis Vuitton is cheap. And as you can imagine the boots are no exception.
Anyways, they are worth it, mainly if you think how many times you’ll be wearing it on the next winter. The model is timeless so it can easily be worn winter after winter on rainy and sunny days. And the best thing is that they look amazing both with casual and chic outfits.
To be totally honest, I just do not consider them an investment because, unlike bags that last for years in perfect conditions and that can later be sold for a higher price than the one that was paid, the shoes, because they are on the feet every day can easily screw up. And, of course, they have the issue of having sizes.
By the way, I usually wedge 38, but in this Ranger Plat Wonderland had to go to European 38.5.
If you are looking for some beautiful boots that will last a lifetime, these are very worth the price. There is also a black leather version but, because they are more resistant, my advice is that unless you are a maid to walk (or you have lots of money to spend on shoes), choosing Canvas is a better and safer option.
But if you don’t know if you like it, forget it. These boots are totally worth the money, yes, but when we’re talking about luxury items you really need to have a crush on them.
So, if you love boots and can buy them, do not hesitate. These were the last ones in my number, in the Lisbon store.
