Is it worth it being original in a world full of copies?
Originality. A few days ago I was thinking about this thing called originality. I mean, although I have always liked to be different, I feel that there is a general influence to we all look the same. With the same clothes, with the same make-up and even with the same face (the same fillers, the botox in the same places, you name it).
Thus, it’s as if all of a sudden we all have to be alike in order to belong to “the club.” Isn’t it weird?
Especially at a time when we have evolved to the point of knowing that diversity – alongside (small) imperfections – is what makes us truly beautiful. Yes, sometimes it’s the fact that we are not perfect that makes us interesting. After all, we all have a unique singularity. And that’s what makes us special in a unique way.
In a world full of copies, it will always be those who dare to be different who will stand out.
So before wanting to be somebody else, how about being ourselves? The best we can be, of course. But with our traits, our tastes, our characteristic laughter and, above all, with our soul.
Forget the copies and fight for being different. For being you. Be faithful to all that you are and to what you believe. Because in a world full of copies, it will always be those who dare to be different who will stand out.
