Easy look for spring
Blazer and jeans. Spring is here and so are the long sunny days. And, one of the most amazing clothes to wear in spring is, of course, blazer. They’re a must have in any wardrobe, and we owe Coco Chanel the existence of a coat as versatile as sophisticated.
Created in the 1920s as a synonym of women strength, (by the amazing Chanel), it was in 1966 when Yves Saint Laurent introduced the women tuxedo that it started to become popular. And if it is true that it has revolutionized the fashion industry and the way women saw fashion at the time, it’s also true that it has not been very well received by critics at first. Like any great innovation, by the way. Gloria Emerson of the New York Times wrote that Yves Saint Laurent’s collection was idiotic and outdated. But, he was a genius instead.
The blazer is an easy formula to create beautiful and effortless chic outfits
So, many women saw the YVS suit as a chance of affirmation. Among them was the actress Catherine Deneuve.
Consequently, the blazer has achieved a star status as a must have for women. Easy to wear, comfortable and elegant, the blazer is our salvation, especially in those days when we do not know what to wear or when we want to be beautiful but not too flashy. Effortless chic, they say.
So, this pinstripes Massimo Dutti blazer is one of my favorites. Despite being basic, the stripes give it a twist and the oversized tailoring a bit of modernity. I mean, I can wear it with almost everything.
Thus, the blazer is an easy formula to create beautiful and effortless chic outfits . Especially when the idea is to create an easy look for spring. Do you love blazers as much as i do?
