Colorful clothes for work: why not?
Colorful clothes to go to work. Although neutral colors such as black, gray, or beige are solid colors and therefore are easier to play with in order to create sober and classy outfits, the truth is that it is possible to play with stronger shades while still achieving a sophisticated outfit.
And if it is true that when we work in a formal company we tend to privilege the obvious, so it is that there is always some room for using the imagination.
I mean, unless you work in an extremely conservative company with a strict dress code, you can play with colors. It may be with a stronger color skirt like the one I’m wearing – who does not love the blue Majorelle? – with a colored silk scarf, with some unusual boots or with bold earrings. The only limit is the imagination.
Silk scarves with patterns are excellent for those who want to take the first step and try to add some color to the job outfits.
What really matters is to create some visual harmony that is not too eccentric (I mean, don’t go to work with a neon orange sweater and yellow sandals with blue socks). And, of course, bet on quality pieces that make you feel good and confident.
Consequently, investing in colored clothes for work is not forbidden. At all. Plus, silk scarves with patterns are excellent for those who want to take the first step and try to add some color to the job outfits.
With this being said, when I was in Milan in 2013, I bought this Emilio Pucci scarf, and I used to wear it a lot when I worked at a Lawyer’s office. Still, I keep wearing it now even if I have a more casual job nowadays. I mean, there’s no excuses if you want to wear a pop of color on a daily basis.
So, let’s make 2019 a more colorful year?
