Restaurant 45. Last Saturday I was invited to visit a new restaurant in the city. Located where Cave 45 was once housed, the 45 – which has kept the mystical number – is a minimalist restaurant that has what any restaurant should have the best: tasteful and good food.

 

Although I’m not any kind of expert on gastronomy, I can tell you that you will see me many times at 45. Because the atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious, but especially because it was there that I had the best ravioli of my life.

45 - which has kept the mystical number - is a minimalist restaurant that has what any restaurant should have the best: tasteful and good food.

But let’s start at the beginning. Or rather, by the starters. To start, I chose mushrooms because as some of you may know love mushrooms. My boyfriend’s choice was asparagus. In the middle, we still fill with bread and butter and compote of peppers (I’m not usually a big fan of peppers, but I highly recommend this one, it’s divine).

When we got to the main course my boyfriend didn’t know what to order, but I immediately looked at the quail ravioli. Those who follow me for a long time know that I love ravioli, and I do not lie to you when I say it was the best I’ve eaten in my life. A fusion of intense yet delicious flavors that complement each other perfectly. All made by Chef António Silva, who showed me that in this kitchen, what counts the most is creativity.
Filipe ended up opting for the duck, which in his own words was to eat and cry for more.

Of course, after so many delicacies, there was not a lot of space for dessert. But, the dishes were so delicious that we did not resist sharing one. How could we miss the opportunity? That’s how we ate this dessert with the taste of cherries perfectly found the taste of basil and chocolate resulting in a delicious but not too sweet dessert. I highly recommend you to try it, it’s sublime and so, do good.

So, if you are in Porto or if you’re planning coming here go to 45 restaurant. Believe me, you won’t regret it.
