Mixing textures on winter
Winter. This is the time of year when the days are still cold but we already feel spring in the air. And, it is by this time that we begin to feel tired of the winter. We want to drop the jackets off and start wearing fresh fabrics, right?
One of the best ways to get out of the basic solution knitwear and jeans is to play with the textures.
So, if you’re like me and can’t hear about cold no more ( well, here in Paris, was – 8ºC yesterday and I thought I would freeze because, as soon as I took off my gloves, my fingers went purple) one of the best ways to get out of the basic solution knitwear and jeans is to play with the textures. Here i’ve paired a summer dress with a motard leather coat and, to make myself feel a little bit warmer and more comfortable, I put on a maxi wool scarf and over the knee boots. After all, the times when we could only wear cashmere in winter and silk in the summer are long gone.
With this being said, if you live in temperate climates such as the Portuguese, playing with textures is a great way to exercise your creativity in style and feel less bored about grey days.
