How can a shy person be a blogger
Blogger. There is the urban myth that we, bloggers, are all super extroverted. Well, I’m not. And I do not say it with pride. During these almost 30 years of life, it was more often that I felt bad for being shy than happy about it.
Anyways, people usually don’t think I’m shy when they meet me.
That’s because I try to be me, as I would if I was with a friend of mine. But, there is always that first contact when all I want is to run away. Of course, as soon as I feel comfortable, everything changes. But until then I always suffer a little bit. Anyone else like me?
Of course, as soon as I feel comfortable, everything changes. But until then I always suffer a little bit. Anyone else like me?
And, what does this have to do with being a blogger? Well, the truth is, I love sharing things with you – from the banal thoughts about my life to the last bag I bought- but it’s easier to do it because I’m screen savvy. In real life, I am much more discreet because that is my nature. I mean, you do not have to be outgoing to be a blogger. You just have to be willing to share things with the world.
However, despite believing that we should respect ourselves as we are, I am forcing myself to be less shy. Especially at events, where one needs to talk to people and deal with all that it entails. If you have any tricks on how to be less shy, please share with me.
