Brooches: are them an old women accessory?
Brooches. For a long time when I was younger collected brooches. I used to wear them on the lapels of the coats, to close the shirts on the top and, honestly, I remember I used to love it. Then I’m not sure why I stopped wearing them. It’s one of those things that you can not explain why, because there was no logical reason.I mean I love them.
That is how i’m into brooches again. Although a lot of people think they are an old women accessory - I spent a lot of my youth listening to it - I like it, especially because they usually are bold original pieces.
But last weekend I was in my room in Coimbra getting some things done – yes, I left a lot of my clothes in Coimbra because I live in a small apartment here in Porto, so I’m taking and bringing – and I just (re) discovered my collection of brooches. I chose all that is mine to bring, and I also brought some of my mother’s, in Swarovski crystal. As you probably guessed, the seahorse washers.
That is how I’m into brooches again. Although a lot of people think they are an old women accessory – I spent a lot of my youth listening to it – I like it, especially because they usually are bold original pieces. Which means you will hardly find someone wearing the same one.
So, if you like brooches but do not know where to buy them, I highly suggest you look for them on vintage shops. Anyways, let me know: are you into or not brooches?
