Should we all be feminists?
Women. From the Chimamanda Adichie’s Ted Talk to the last must have t-shirt from Dior (designed by Maria Grazia Chirui the first female artistic director at Dior) the quote “we should all be feminists” is everywhere.
Some people has this wrong idea that feminist are frustrated women who hate men and bras. That’s far from truth. More than an ideal feminism is all about justice.
The thing is, even if there’s a big evolution in women’s rights on the past decades, there’s still a lot to be done. In a fair world, it’s unacceptable that a woman who has everything to be on the top isn’t allowed due to the fact that men should be on top. Who said this, after all? If we want to be on top we have to work for earn it. And if it happens to be a woman to be the best, let’s accept it. And applaud it.
The same goes to the salary. If a woman does exactly the same work, why does she earn less? That’s just unfair. It’s as simple as that.
More than an ideal, feminism is all about justice.
We all know women and men are biologically different. But it doesn’t mean that a woman can’t be better doing things man used to do, mainly at work. We should support the best, apart of genders, don’t you agree?
Feminists fight for a fair world, where women are allowed to be whoever they want to be. And dress whatever they want do dress. Feeling beautiful is an empowerment weapon every woman should use. For herself. After all, we women, want to feel beautiful for ourselves. And to be confident enough to stay strong to face the world. Not for men, right? So stop judging women and start supporting us. For a fairer and happier world
At the end of the day, if we believe in justice we definitely should all be feminists.
