Judge less
Judging. On the last couple of days i’ve been reading a lot of comments on social media, criticizing fashion bloggers who didn’t shared sadness or how to help on big fire on Pedrogão Grande that killed a lot of portuguese people.
Actually, it was a national tragedy and we’re all devastated about it, but truth is every day somewhere in the world a tragedy happens. And the world keep spinning as our lives go on. Indifferents.
Everyday, somebody in the world is devastated by someone’s who passed away or by a disease. Is that fair? Off course not. But life is as it is.
I mean, in an utopian world there won’t be no tragedies or bad things. However it doesn’t work that way.
And, it’s important to not forget that we’re all different. We don’t react the same way to the same things.
Even if it’s hard to put ourselves in somebody else’s shoes let’s at least try. Everybody is different, and social media is just a part of people’s lives.
With this being said, towards a tragedy, some will help without talking about it, some will be in the comfort of the couch telling everyone to help, some will do nothing and some will do everything to help someway. Anyway, it doesn’t mean that the ones who don’t talk about it are insensitive or bad. For what i’m concerned, i don’t like talking about bad things while i’m facing them unless with people close to me. It’s like a defense and it doesn’t mean i’m not suffering.
What i’m trying to say is that we don’t know about all each other’s circumstances or lives. For some girls fashion blogs are their jobs and they stick to a rigid agenda. I know some think that as influencers we have some social responsibility. I totally agree with that, but some influencers don’t. And i truly don’t know who is right and who is wrong. So, instead of judging let’s do what we believe is the right thing to do. Instead of wasting time writing a lot of wicked comments on facebook, let’s do something to help someone.
I know criticizing is part of human nature, but thankfully we all have brains to think. And even if it’s hard to put ourselves in somebody else’s shoes let’s at least try. Everybody is different, and social media is just a part of people’s lives.
So, let’s judge less and do more. At the end of the day, we all have ours consciousness to deal with.
