It’s urgent to love
Love. It’s almost 1.am, and i’m writing this while it’s raining cats and dogs outside. I’ve just got home, completely wet on my feet and my black blazer it’s creasy. I’m still singing this song i’ve listen to on the radio, from a Portuguese band called Expensive Soul that says “ love is fast, sadic, sometimes tragic and magic”.
The song’s letter made me think that there are a lot of adjectives to describe love. Yet, magical is probably the best one.
Love is strange, good, overwhelming and schizophrenic at once. But it’s also the best thing that can happen to us in this life. It gives us a purpose to live while make us better people.
Love is to feel our heart bursting at the seams every time we see the people we love.
I’ve read somewhere that love is the best chance we’ll have to be close to magic. And that’s true. Love moves us. It’s the only selfish and altruistic thing (at the same time) that makes people equally happy. How magical is that?
I’m not talking just about romantic love. Even if all love has a little bit of romance in it.
After all, love is caring, is being happy for another person as we would be for ourselves, is to wake up at the middle of the night to make a cup of tea to a sick son. Love is walking half city just to be with the person we love. Love is to feel our heart bursting at the seams every time we see the people we love. And, love is never enough. Like strawberry gums there’s always space for more in our bodies and souls. Because it fills us inside.
Honestly, love is everywhere. Family, parents, friends, boyfriends, wives, husbands and children are all love opportunities. We just don’t love if we really don’t want to.
So, it’s urgent to love. At the end of the day, love makes us better people making other people happy. What makes the world a happiest place.
