Is it easier to be a blogger?
Blogger. Last weekend we were at Costa Nova shooting when i met Simona. Simona is the blogger behind Dress of Roses a blog that i absolutely love. If you’re wondering how i met Simona (as she’s italian) i tell you: we met at Costa Nova Beach Club as we went there all summers.
Anyway, we two are fashion bloggers and truly admire each other’s work. What leads me to another question everybody asks us a lot: is it easy to be a blogger?
Every post you see on a blog takes hours to get to life.
The answer is no. Every fashion and style blogger out there will agree with me. Every post you see on a blog takes hours to get to life. Before the photos there’s a preparation of how we want them to be. Then, we have to do the styling, shoot, write a good article, share it on social media, manage the social media we’re in, answer e-mails, go to meetings etc. And all of this in addition to our other jobs (for those who aren’t full time bloggers).
So, as you see it takes a lot of effort. I can tell you that i have already missed some friend’s dinners because i was working on the blog. Sometimes i don’t have free weekends because we shoot all day. I’ve already woke up at 5 a.m. to shoot because it was the only hour when there were no people at the location. Anyway, i’m not complaining: i really love being a blogger and what i do.
Truth is, i love writing and creating new outfits for you guys, and i love to know your feedback, your opinions, how do you feel about a post, you name it. And i’m so thankful for having you on that side.
But, for those who believe being a blogger is easy, i challenge you to make your own blog and post every single day new original content. Doesn’t seem that easier, isn’t it?
