Why you should include SPF on your beauty routine
Sunscreen. As many girls out there i would love to have a tanned skin. Well, i don’t. I had never had and even if when i was younger i used to love being at the beach tanning. The worst part of it is that i didn’t use SPF at all. The second bad thing is that i got tanned at body but never in my face. Don’t ask me why.
Being on a family where everybody is naturally “dark” (only my grandpas are completely white like i am) i got frustrated a lot of times because you know, i wanted to be tanned.
When i went to University i realised the power of the red lipstick on my skin tone and for the first time i accepted me as i am: not tanned.
Anyway, when i went to University i realised the power of the red lipstick on my skin tone and for the first time i accepted me as i am: not tanned. That was when i started listening to my mum about applying SPF. She used to apply it on her face religiously every morning. I first started to use it just on summer days, but then i included it into my all year routine.
As we all know, UV radiation causes wrinkles, discoloration and dryness to the skin (in some cases it also causes skin cancer). Meaning, it makes the skin look a lot older than the age you truly are. That’s why using SPF all year long is so important. Even on winter days when the sun is up there is UV radiation and we need to protect our skin.
Many people thinks SPF prevents from getting tanned but that is not true. SPF just protects the skin from UV radiation. So, stop using these kind of excuses for not using it.
Nowadays, i apply SPF every morning on my face and when i got to the beach i also apply it on my body, off course. During the year i use to apply Clinique SPF 50, but on hot summer days i apply this one from Shiseido that is a BB Cream too. Also, i never go to the beach in the forbidden hours.
You see, having a flawless skin is a dream for most of us, but it truly depend on us too. Drinking a lot of water, using SPF and good skin treatments are essential for a healthy skin.
So that, i would highly suggest you to use SPF all year long. After all is not just about beauty but about health too.
