From 2017 with love
Bye, Bye 2017. Talking about this year, I need to say that it was a good year. At first, I was so afraid of it because I knew I had to have a surgery on my hip, but the truth is I did it and even if I couldn’t walk for almost 4 months I learned so much that it was worth it. Plus, I fixed my hip problem for good. And you can’t imagine how happy I am because of that. I mean, since I was a child this dysplasia I had on my hip was following me like a shadow. My parents took me to the doctor several times over the years but no one seemed to know what I had. I feel lucky to be well now.
And, being through such a tough situation made me stronger. I also think I became more flexible and tolerant what makes me feel proud. And, because of my surgery, I came to live with my boyfriend and moved to Oporto. That was one of the most amazing decisions ever made because I love him so much.
I truly don’t know what 2018 will bring me but I just ask for health. When we are healthy we are ready to conquer the world.
In 2017 I traveled to Brazil to be with my family and it was amazing because I met my little cousin for the first time. Those were some of the best days in 2017. Also, I went to South of France with my boyfriend in summer and I visited Monaco and Saint Tropez for the first time. It was awesome and I felt so lucky to be there.
Here on the blog, it was a good year too. I had so many amazing opportunities from hotels – like Unique or Pestana Vintage – to restaurants. I made collabs with cool brands commanded by amazing people. And, I created two editorials that make me especially proud: the Carnival one and this one for Camlo. I sold my Cannon and bought a Fuji XT2 to have better pics. I worked so, so hard to give you the best content and I’m so glad you’re there. Thank you so much for all your support over the year and for all your kind messages. You’re truly the best.
This was the year when I left my job in Law and started being a freelancer. I’m a fashion content writer for two sites and so glad I could make the change. Making a living off my writing is something that really makes me proud (you can’t even imagine how).
So, after all, this was a good year. I learned to chase my dreams, I met incredible people like Daniela, and I had all my friends and my family with me. That is the most important, right?
I truly don’t know what 2018 will bring me but I just ask for health. When we are healthy we are ready to conquer the world. Bring it in 2018!
