Why you should fake it until you make it in fashion
Polka dots. At this point, probably all of us have already heard the “fake until you make it” quote. Independently of believing it or not, most of us would agree that when it concerns to personality and character faking is not a good option. Otherwise, when we’re talking about fashion it may be different.
It’s easy to have a chic flawless look when your closet is made from Chanel tags and Dior bags, but when you’re just like the rest of us you have to be smart to look rich.
If you’re thinking i’m suggesting buying fake bags from big brands, forget it. I don’t support in any way counterfeiting pieces, and you shouldn’t too. Buying big brands fake bags just make you a wannabe. I mean, everyone who loves fashion can see when a piece is fake or not. Plus, when you buy fake pieces you’re supporting an illegal activity what, you must agree, doesn’t sound very good.
Well, back to the point, what i meant with putting the quote fake until you make it into fashion is to buy clothes that appear to be expensive but are not. You see, it’s easy to have a chic flawless look when your closet is made from Chanel tags and Dior bags, but when you’re just like the rest of us you have to be smart to look rich.
So that, you have to look for pieces that when mixed with pretty luxury like accessories, red lipstick and an original designer bag will make you look flawless. Remember you can find a treasure anywhere. My last found was this polka dots romper. Paired with cool Vans, red lipstick and Céline Sunglasses it looks like i’ve bought it at Avenue Montaigne, in Paris. Okay, not that much mainly if you touch it, but you see what i mean.
After all, trying to look like the better version of ourselves is not faking, is it?
