5 essentials to holidays at Côte D’ Azur
South of France. To be totally honest with you, Côte D’Azur is everything they say and more. As i’ve showed you on the latest posts the cities there are cool in a very chic way, and the sea water is pretty amazing too. Plus, there are a lot of beautiful buildings to admire and keep inspiration from.
So that, when we decided Côte D’Azur was going to be our holidays destination, i’ve looked for instagrammers who live in south of france and people who have stayed there. I wanted to capture the place’s aura in order to choose outfits that would match it perfectly. Plus, i’ve looked for some old magazines where i remembered seeing some editorials shooted in Saint Tropez and Cannes.
I’ve ended up with a top 5 of essentials one needs in order to keep a casual chic vibe in the south of France.
It was in the middle of all that search that i’ve realized what clothes and acessories i was going to pack to the holidays. I like to plan the outfits according to the place in order to get some harmony between the location and the clothes. It’s something i really value and for me makes a huge difference in the final result.
Needless to say, i’ve ended up with a top 5 of style essentials one needs in order to keep a casual chic vibe in the south of France. So they are:
The straw hat
Finding the perfect straw hat may not be that easy, but as soon as you get yours you’ll see it makes all your outfits stand out. I love that besides its obvious utility it gives any outfit a summer touch.
The silk top
No matter what color you choose (even if i’d prefer black or white) a silk top is a must have for summer. And when you go to such a chic place as Riviera you truly need one. The best part? You can wear it with almost everything.
Pretty slides
In a perfect world we all would wear leather Hermès slides. But, even if we can’t afford them there a lot of chic alternatives out there. These ones in yellow satin from Zara are a good example of a chic pair of slides for summer for a good price. Find your perfect pair and bring it with you to the Riviera.
Linen
It doesn’t matter if it’s a linen dress (as i’ve worn here) or a linen top (that i’ve worn here) linen is such a pretty chic fabric. And when you want to add some clean luxury to your look it will be a good choice. Needless to say, it’s also one of the best fabrics for summer as it is fresh.
Gold necklace
I know some people don’t like necklaces, but a beautiful piece of jewelry can make all the difference. I love this minimal silver 925 Cinco necklace because it’s delicate and somehow looks expansive (even if it’s not). Off course the world map makes it perfect.
