Travel Diary: Quinta do Lorde Hotel
Para-para-paradise. When in Madeira Island we rented a car so we could drive the Island coast to coast. One of our first destinations was Ponta de São Lourenço.
However while we were driving to get there, we saw an amazing infinity pool down the hills. We tried to figure out if it was some particular house, but even being a bit far away we could read next to the pool the sign “Deck Bar” (we have noticed later that it was the pool bar of the hotel).
We tried to Google it so we could find out what it really was, but there was such few info about the place.
So that, we got on the road again promissing that we would go there on the way back. And so we did.
In fact, the place is the Quinta do Lorde Hotel, an unpretentious luxury hotel that remind those from Côte D’Azur. Actually the guests were mostly french, but there were a few italians and portuguese as well.

The good new is everyone can use the infinty pool, even if you’re not staying on the hotel by paying the fee of 15€ (with a drink included). We just coudn’t miss it out.
Truth is it was one of the most beautiful pools i’ve ever been in (aware the Vidamar’s Hotel pool ). It’s a sea pool and despite it’s absolutely awesome it’s also full of a peaceful pleasant feeling.
The afternoon we stayed there was dreamy. If i close my eyes and think about diving on it, a big smile appears on my face. Totally worth it.
