Travel Diary: Amsterdam
Van Loon Museum. We flew to Amsterdam last June. But, even if time has flown i wanted to share with you some of my best memories of the city. Maybe i will do kind of a city guide next week (with the must-go places), what do you guys think about it?
Talking about Amsterdam. One of the places i enjoyed the most visiting was Van Loon Museum. It’s a house where Van Loon family, an aristocrat family closely connected to the city of Amsterdam, used to live. Willem van Loon was cofounder of the Dutch East Company VOC in 1602 and his grandson became Mayor of Amsterdam. As you folks see, it was such an influent family.
One of the places i enjoyed the most visiting was Van Loon Museum.
Actually the house looks more like a palace. The decor is beautiful and bold all at once, and the garden, behind the house, provides the balance between the bold walls and the place for a peaceful state of mind.
If you’re planning going to Amsterdam i would highly recommend you visiting this house/museum.
