Travel Diary: Amsterdam II
Amsterdam. Amsterdam is such a beautiful yet different city.
Full of flowers and art, the streets are dominated by bikes. Seeing so many bikes really impressed me. You know, i have never seen so many bikes in just one place It’s kind of weird cause everywhere you look, there’s someone riding a bike while talking on the phone or texting. I told you, weird!
We decided to walk on the streets in order to discover the city. So that, i picked up my comfy flats, my favorite summer dress, and paired it with a cardigan.
I found Amsterdam a little dark which is deeply softened by the flowers all over the city. Also, houses are way too small and it seems that they’re slowly sinking into Asmtel river ( by the way the name of the city is based on Amstel) what is kind of creepy. Maybe is due to it that are so many boat-houses. I don’t know.
What i found truly weird, is that there are cats standing everywhere, including inside the restaurants. True story.
Girls stand on the showcases, inviting people to commit the sin of lust.
Anyway, Amsterdam is the freedom city. Locals and visitors lose themselves on the streets drinking bear and smoking weed while talking to friends.
Needless to say, at night, Red Light Street is the place where everyone wants to be.
Girls stand on the showcases, inviting people to commit the sin of lust. There are so many beautiful girls there, behind the red lights.
If you happen to be around i would suggest you to visit Sex Museum, as well. After visiting it, our perspective of Red Light Street kind of change, cause we’re invited to walk on the Red Light Street girls shoes.
Amsterdam is also the most artistic city i’ve been to. There are so much art all around and art galleries all over the city. Talking about art, Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum are totally worth the hype.
That being said, i found Amsterdam a different city. And anything different touch us in a single way, isn’t it?
P.S. Tomorrow i’ll be publishing, here on the blog, a mini city guide with cool places to go, where to stay and non-touristic spots. Stay tuned!
